First Love

I ne'er was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet.
Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower
And stole my heart away complete.

My face turned pale, a deadly pale.
My legs refused to walk away,
And when she looked what could I ail
My life and all seemed turned to clay.

And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight quite away.
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight at noonday.

I could not see a single thing,
Words from my eyes did start.
They spoke as chords do from the string,
And blood burnt round my heart.

Are flowers the winter's choice
Is love's bed always snow
She seemed to hear my silent voice
Not love appeals to know.

I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before.
My heart has left its dwelling place
And can return no more.

thanks Mr عطيه بن عقدان for the sweet words...although our problem is that we always think that first love is something sacred and amazing...nah...it's just something imaginary we liked at first i guess.

anywasy we all might have fallen into it.things change i guess.

the poem really touched most of us i guess and it was so kind of you to write such a thing in here.

please provide us with more poems that would delight our...hear ...day and life as well.

I am trying to make my own poems but I found it diffrent of
what we are doing in our traditonal cultur
I might translate some of the famus ones

great to see you in this part of our forum

in fact I tryed to write some poims in engleh
but unfortionatly I found it diffecult for me

any how you asked about the meaning of (remarkable)
it means significant or astonishing شيء ملموس او مميز , مدهش

traditional means habitual اي عادات وتقاليد
